Dreaming of Success?

Learn How to Use Mental Rehearsal Techniques to Influence Your Outcomes

Today, modern research is able to endorse the findings of some the great metaphysical teachers of our time by suggesting that when our mental images are accompanied by strong emotions they form the blueprints of our reality.

Of course this is absolutely nothing new. In fact the simple steps of using desire, imagination and expectancy to help you achieve success have been known since ancient times and they are now also being upheld by the latest research into quantum physics.

These profoundly simple and yet highly effective skills are being made readily available to all of us through the latest development in the field of energy medicine, breakthroughs in the fields of quantum physics and popular films such as 'What The Bleep Do We Know' and 'The Secret'.

What this means in practice, is that we can all be magicians and creators of our own reality and that with just a small amount of focused attention, our idle daydreams can be turned into effective mental rehearsals to improve our chances of success.

For example, here is a simple but practical exercise that you might like to try for yourself:

Consider these 3 simple steps, then chose an activity that you would like to improve on and practice creating your own short mental video that you can rehearse again and again to help improve your experience, or the outcome of a particular event.

Step one. Begin to build up your level of desire for what you want. Our desires are the motivating force that push us towards our goals. Having a desire for something means that your body-brain system is actively involved and by adding positive feelings to an image of success (even if you have to borrow those feelings from a previous event) you activate a powerful processes of mental programming.

Step two. Make full use of your imagination. Only the conscious part of the mind has the ability to distinguish between what is real and imagined? It simply holds what we repeatedly program into it.

If you repeatedly focus on something with vivid imagery together with strong feelings or emotions then your subconscious mind has no choice but to accept it as real. In other words your subconscious mind will faithfully manifest failure and misfortune, just as easily as success and abundance.

Step three. Expect a positive outcome for yourself. Expectancy keeps our mental programs alive by giving them a vital source of energy. Without expectancy we stop looking for results. Try making it a regular daily habit to look for signs that will give you the enthusiasm to continue.

So next time you catch yourself dreaming of success, consider transforming the dream into active mental programming, combining intense positive emotions together with vivid imagination and a strong expectation that the opportunity, thing or circumstance that represents your success will be manifested.

Ultimately though it is perhaps not success in itself that matters, so much as the process of learning how to create success.
